Empower. Connect. Inspire: Professional Networking Events in Milwaukee for Trades Careers & Black Female Veterans

At Mindful Mondays MKE, we believe that when communities come together, we create opportunity, growth, and lasting impact. This season, we’re hosting two powerful professional development networking events in Milwaukee—one focused on careers in the trades industry and the other on celebrating Black Female Veterans. Both events aim to educate, connect, and empower individuals while fostering collaboration and community support.

🔨 Building Futures Through the Trades Industry

The skilled trades industry is the backbone of our economy, yet too many young people remain unaware of the opportunities it provides. Electricians, machinists, welders, carpenters, and other skilled professionals are in high demand across the nation.

Our Trades Industry Networking Event in Milwaukee is designed to highlight these careers as strong alternatives to the traditional four-year college path. With earn-and-learn opportunities, high school students and young adults can begin apprenticeships, receive hands-on training, and build financially stable futures without accumulating student debt.

Why attend?

  • Discover pathways into the trades industry

  • Learn about apprenticeships and earn-while-you-learn programs

  • Network with local business leaders, educators, and mentors

  • Share knowledge with youth who need real options for their future

If you’re a parent, educator, or professional passionate about workforce development and career readiness for youth, this event is for you.

🎖️ Celebrating Black Female Veterans in Milwaukee

We’re also proud to host a dedicated networking event for Black Female Veterans, shining a light on their resilience, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit. These women have served our country with distinction and are now making strides in business, education, and community leadership.

This event is proudly sponsored by Great Lakes Dryhootch, a Milwaukee-based veteran support organization led by CEO Otis Winstead. Great Lakes Dryhootch is nationally recognized for its peer support and wellness programs, helping veterans transition into civilian life with strength and purpose. Their mission aligns with ours: to provide spaces where women veterans can connect, collaborate, and thrive.
